Terms of Use

Last updated: November 1, 2026. Please read these terms before you use QuoteGlance.

1. What QuoteGlance is

QuoteGlance is an information tool. It reads the text of contractor quotes you upload and shows, in plain English, what each quote appears to say about price, included work, permits, debris removal, payment terms and how long the price is valid. It links each point to the page of your document it came from and suggests questions you may want to ask.

2. What QuoteGlance is not

3. Check the original documents

Automatic reading can miss or misread information, especially in scans, photos, tables and unusual layouts. If something is not shown, it may still be in the quote. Always read the original documents and confirm important terms with the contractor in writing before you sign or pay. You are responsible for your decisions.

4. Your files

Only upload documents you have the right to use, such as quotes addressed to you. Do not upload documents that contain information you are not allowed to share. How we handle your files is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, access other people's comparisons, upload harmful files, or use it for anything unlawful. We may limit or stop access to protect the service and its users.

6. Our content and software

QuoteGlance, including its software, reading rules, report layouts, text, logo and name, belongs to us and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the service to compare your own quotes. You may not copy, scrape, reverse engineer, resell or re-host the service or its output for others, access it with bots or automated tools, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission.

7. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for losses that result from relying on the service instead of the original documents. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

9. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; continued use means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Questions: support@quoteglance.com.
