Privacy Policy
Effective date: November 1, 2026. In short: we read your quotes to build your comparison, keep them for 24 hours, and do not sell or share them.
What we collect
- The files you upload. PDFs or photos of contractor quotes. They may contain names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and prices.
- What we read from them. The comparison we create: prices, terms and the lines they came from.
- Feedback you choose to send. If you use “Something looks wrong?”, we receive the quote letter, the items you marked and your optional note — not your files.
- Basic technical data. Information your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, used only to run and protect the service. We keep no access logs. Your IP address is held briefly in memory to limit abuse, and may appear in error records, which are kept in small logs that are overwritten as new records arrive.
We do not ask you to create an account, and the current version does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
Only to create your comparison and report, to keep the service working and secure, and to fix problems. Your quotes are read by our own software; the current version does not send them to outside AI services.
Who can see it
- Each comparison has a private link. Anyone who has the link can open it, so keep it to yourself.
- We do not sell your information and do not share it with contractors, advertisers or data brokers.
- Our hosting provider, DigitalOcean, runs the server in the United States that stores your files for us. Cloudflare provides our domain name and email forwarding. They provide these services to us; we do not give them your information for their own use.
- We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Uploaded copies and results are scheduled for deletion 24 hours after you create a comparison. Feedback you send is kept without your files for up to 12 months to improve how we read quotes. Reports you download stay with you. Your original files on your device are never changed.
Reviewing, correcting or deleting your information
You can open your comparison with its private link to review what we read, and delete it early from its page. Because files are deleted after 24 hours and we keep no account, there is usually nothing left to correct. To ask what we hold about you, or to have something corrected or deleted sooner, email support@quoteglance.com. California residents may also have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where it applies; we will not treat you differently for using them.
How we respond to Do Not Track
Your browser may send a “Do Not Track” signal. QuoteGlance does not track you over time or across other websites, so it treats every visit the same way whether or not the signal is sent.
Third-party tracking
We do not allow advertising networks, analytics providers or other third parties to collect information about your activity on QuoteGlance over time or across other websites.
Security and children
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no service is perfectly secure. QuoteGlance is not intended for children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle information — for example, if we add an option to share your request with contractors — we will update this policy, change the effective date at the top, and show a notice on the home page before the change takes effect. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent first.
